On November 3rd, 2011, Piper Faith Zohner was born. Piper was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a congenital heart defect where the left side of the heart is grossly underdeveloped, or in Piper's case, not there at all. At just five days old, Piper had her first surgery and came through like a rockstar. She seemed to be doing very well and making progress quickly.
